Dr. Lucia M. Vaina and Dr. Ferdinando S. Buonanno are co-directors of the Neurology of Vision Laboratory.  Drs. Vaina and Buonanno have been collaborating for over a decade to better understand:

• mechanisms that mediate human visual perception in healthy and damaged human brains.
• long-term plasticity and short-term dynamics in networks of the adult normal and damaged cortex (from stroke).

Their work also aims to translate research findings into better diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the brain affecting visual perception and cognition. For more information, please visit the Neurology of Vision Laboratory.
