Elyse R. Park, PhD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School and a Senior Scientist in the Mongan Institute for Health Policy. She is Associate Director of the MGH Cancer Center Survivorship Program and has leadership roles in the MGH Tobacco Research & Treatment Center and MGH Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine.
Dr. Park’s research focuses on development and integration of motivational and behavioral intervention treatments, particularly for chronic stress and smoking cessation, into cancer and survivorship care. She has an extensive portfolio of research integrating interventions into clinical settings, including her current R01 and K24 on smoking cessation integrated into cancer care. She has received external funding from the American Cancer Society, the Livestrong Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to support this research. Her clinical expertise is short-term interventions for patients transitioning to survivorship care.
