Mouse Models

The Luster lab has expertise in mouse models of disease and in the generation of genetically modified knockout, transgenic and reporter mice to study immune cell function in vivo.

Unique Mouse Strains

The Luster lab has generated and accumulated genetically modified knockout, transgenic and reporter mice to study immune cell function in vivo. Genetically modified mice maintained in our colony and available to investigators include:

  • Chemokines and Chemokine Receptors Knock-out and Transgenic Mice
  • Chemokine and Chemokine Receptor Reporter Mice
  • Chemoattractant Receptor Knock-out and Transgenic Mice
  • Lipid Mediator Receptor (e.g., BLT1, LPA1, LPA2 and S1P1) Knock-out mice
  • Toll-like receptor Knock-out Mice
  • Scavenger Receptor Knock-out Mice
  • T cell Receptor Transgenic mice, e.g., OT-I and OT-II
  • Fluorescent reporter mice, e.g., actin-blue, actin-green, T-red, CD11c-YFP.

Expertise in Mouse Models

The Luster lab has expertise in a number of mouse models of disease, including asthma, atopic dermatitis, arthritis, lupus, lung and heart transplant rejection, atherosclerosis, malaria, influenza, HIV, and toxoplasmosis. Members of the lab will assist colleagues and collaborators in the use of these models.
