About the Registration and Referral Center

MGH is always investigating new ways to simplify the administrative processes that are involved with healthcare.

The RRC is a centralized service that focuses on proactively handling: patient registration information, patient insurance eligibility verification and managed care referral processing.

We do this by speaking with patients prior to their visit to MGH, updating their registration information and obtaining any necessary managed care referral authorizations, allowing more time for a medical appointment to be spent on patient care rather than paperwork.

In addition, the RRC Physician Referral Service (PRS) can assist patients with finding an MGH Primary Care Physician or specialist.
