Christine Greipp, MLIS
As Health Education Research Coordinator, Christine Greipp manages the myriad administrative aspects of the Center’s shared decision making study, including filling decision aid prescriptions received from clinicians; systematizing study procedures and maintaining the confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of study documentation and supplies; managing study questionnaire distribution, retrieval, and data entry; liaising with patients, doctors, and other clinicians and personnel; and analyzing data and producing reports and presentations for internal and external clients. She also fulfills consumer health information requests and performs in-depth reference searches. Christine’s work for the Center draws on her wide-ranging background in reference and consumer health, as well as provider services, high-level administrative assistance, and clinical trials.
Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Mount Holyoke College, as well as a Master of Library and Information Science with a medical specialization from the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently enrolled in the Health Careers Program at Harvard University Extension School.
Christine is a member of the Medical Library Association and Special Libraries Association, as well as the academic honor societies Phi Beta Kappa and Beta Phi Mu. She has received a number of awards and honors, including the Medical Library Association Scholarship in 2006.
Christine hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and enjoys watching NFL football - particularly the Eagles, Patriots, and Steelers - whenever she can. She enjoys cooking, music, and travel, and hopes to one day revisit Freiburg, Germany, where she studied abroad in college. She has recently adopted a mellow Siamese cat named Noel.
