The Stoeckle Center

Christine Greipp, MLIS

As Health Education Research Coordinator, Christine Greipp manages the myriad administrative aspects of the Center’s shared decision making study, including filling decision aid prescriptions received from clinicians; systematizing study procedures and maintaining the confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of study documentation and supplies; managing study questionnaire distribution, retrieval, and data entry; liaising with patients, doctors, and other clinicians and personnel; and analyzing data and producing reports and presentations for internal and external clients. She also fulfills consumer health information requests and performs in-depth reference searches. Christine’s work for the Center draws on her wide-ranging background in reference and consumer health, as well as provider services, high-level administrative assistance, and clinical trials.

Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Mount Holyoke College, as well as a Master of Library and Information Science with a medical specialization from the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently enrolled in the Health Careers Program at Harvard University Extension School.

Christine is a member of the Medical Library Association and Special Libraries Association, as well as the academic honor societies Phi Beta Kappa and Beta Phi Mu. She has received a number of awards and honors, including the Medical Library Association Scholarship in 2006.

Christine hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and enjoys watching NFL football - particularly the Eagles, Patriots, and Steelers - whenever she can. She enjoys cooking, music, and travel, and hopes to one day revisit Freiburg, Germany, where she studied abroad in college. She has recently adopted a mellow Siamese cat named Noel.
