Benjamin Davis, MD
Dr. Davis is Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Associate Physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital, where he practices infectious disease and provides primary care for patients with HIV infection and AIDS. He participates in clinical trials to design better care for these patients, and regularly uses investigational medications as indicated for these patients.
Additionally, Dr. Davis provides inpatient and outpatient consultation in general infectious disease at MGH, and has an active role in teaching medical students, medical house officers, and fellows in infectious disease. For three months of the year, he attends on the Cabot Service, an inpatient ward teaching service for general medical patients. For six weeks of the year, Dr. Davis attends on the infectious disease consultation service.
Dr. Davis received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Yale University (1986), and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Harvard University Medical School/MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology Medical School (1990). He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital and followed this with an infectious disease fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
