Barbara B. Chase, MS, APRN, BC
Barbara B. Chase graduated from Boston College and received her graduate degree from Simmons College. She currently practices at MGH Chelsea Health Center, where she manages the care of well, acutely ill and chronically ill individuals and provides home care to a small group of elders. Prior to her move to Chelsea, she was a long time member of the Internal Medicine Associates where she served for several years as Unit Nurse Leader. She has functioned as a clinical preceptor for Boston College, the MGH Institute of Health Professions, Simmons College and the University of Massachusetts graduate nursing students. She has worked on numerous committees within the MGH and at Simmons College, where she is a clinical lecturer. She is a member of the Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has traveled extensively in Latin America and volunteers regularly in the clinic at El Centro de Esperanza Infantil in Oaxaca, Mexico where she also sponsors the education of six Triqui children.
