John Goodson, M.D.

Dr. Goodson, the Executive Secretary of the Center’s Advisory Committee, is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a practicing member of the Internal Medicine Associates at MGH. His research and educational interests include the training of primary care physicians while developing ambulatory-based teaching sites for residency education. Dr. Goodson is an associate director of PriMed, an annual series of internal medicine primary care conventions held throughout the United States and in Mexico. He is the co-author of an online continuing medical education program available worldwide. He is actively involved in local, regional and national government policy that has an impact on the future of primary care medicine, often serving as a spokesperson for such issues as healthcare reform and as an advocate for universal healthcare access.
