Karanja Kamau

Kamau Karanja, MD is the Medical Director and a practicing primary care physician at the Riverside Health Center in Cambridge, MA. He is also a Clinical Instructor in Ambulatory Care and Prevention at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Karanja has been in his current position at the Riverside Health Center for the past seven years, where his patient population consists primarily of poor and working class families from the Cambridge area, as well as a large group of immigrants from Africa and the Caribbean.

Dr. Karanja attended Brown University for both his undergraduate studies and for Medical School. He did his Family Practice residency at the University of California at San Francisco.

Dr. Karanja was raised in the Bronx, NY, and is now married and has two daughters ages 2 and 4.
