Current Stoeckle Center research initiatives focus on evaluating educational programs, tools and interventions to identify best clinical practices and the most effective ways to involve patients and families in shared decision-making.
CAHPS is a family of surveys that ask patients to evaluate the interpersonal aspects of health care.
The Health Decision Sciences Center (HDSC) is committed to improving the quality of decisions made by patients and health care providers about medical tests and treatments. The HDSC is involved in developing, implementing, and evaluating decision aids and decision quality measures to support shared decision making in medical encounters.
Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute. PCORI's job is to close the gaps in evidence needed to improve key health outcomes. To do this, they identify critical research questions, fund patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER), and disseminate the results in ways that the end-users of our work will find useful and valuable.
