The Department of Surgery offers the Surgical Residency Program, which is designed to attract the best possible individuals and to train them through clinical exposure and through formal and informal conferences to be outstanding clinical surgeons. Our divisions also offer the following educational programs:

• Burns Center
  Educational programs within the Burns Center include the Burns Fellowship and the Burns and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship.
• Cardiac Surgery
  The Division of Cardiac Surgery, located within the Heart Center, has a mission to educate the next generation of health care professionals.
• General and Gastrointestinal Surgery
  Part of the Digestive HealthCare Center, the Division of General and Gastronintestinal Surgery has a robust residency and training program.
• Pediatric Surgery
  The Pediatric Surgery service at MassGeneral Hospital for Children MassGeneral Hospital for Children offers several educational programs for health care professionals.
• Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
  The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mass General offers some of the country's most competitive plastic surgery residencies and fellowships, as well as continuing medical education opportunities.
• Surgical Oncology
  Part of the Cancer Center, the Division of Surgical Oncology provides a comprehensive medical education and training program.
• Thoracic Surgery
  The Division of Thoracic Surgery offers medical training, including continuing medical education.
• Trauma, Emergency Surgery and Surgical Critical Care (TESSCC)
  The Division of Trauma, Emergency Surgery and Surgical Critical Care offers several educational programs, including the Harvard Medical School Trauma and Critical Care Symposium, the EMS Trauma Conference, post-graduate courses, fellowships and residency program.
• Vascular and Endovascular Surgery
  Part of the Vascular Center, the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery offers a fellowship in general vascular surgery.
• Voice Center
  The Voice Center offers advanced clinical and scientific training programs.
