MGH One Of Nation's Top 5 Hospitals, Survey Says

Welcome to the Hyperhidrosis Surgery Service

Although sweating is a normal bodily function, some people can experience unusually excessive sweating known as hyperhidrosis. Hyperhidrosis is a relatively common problem that affects many people.

People with hyperhidrosis typically have excessive sweating of their hands (palmar hyperhidrosis) and often in other parts of their body. Hyperhidrosis can cause a crippling loss of self-esteem in its most severe form. Massachusetts General Hospital is a leader in excessive sweating research and hyperhidrosis treatments.
