Agenda:
Topics related to appropriate indications for intervention and the most efficient and effective methods of diagnosis and treatment will be stressed, with emphasis on the impact of recent prospective trials, cost-benefit considerations and emerging technology. A series of "Great Debates" will compare newer diagnostic techniques to accepted conventional methods of evaluation, and less invasive therapies measured against standard surgical treatment.
