About the Thoracic Aortic Center at MGH

The Thoracic Aortic Center at Massachusetts General Hospital is a unique resource for patients with thoracic aortic disease. The Thoracic Aortic Center combines advanced resources with the vast experience and specialized expertise of internationally renowned cardiologists, cardiac and vascular surgeons, and vascular radiology specialists.

Established in 1999, the Thoracic Aortic Center strives to provide unsurpassed care to patients, to educate both patients and physicians about lifelong management of thoracic aortic disease, and to develop new treatment options. A collaborative approach to care allows specialists to optimally manage thoracic aortic conditions such as thoracic aortic aneurysms, thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms, Marfan syndrome, acute and chronic aortic dissection, and aortic transsection.
