Residencies

  • Advanced Surgery Clerkship Program

    The Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Surgery offers one-month-long advanced clerkships in general surgery and its subspecialties (cardiothoracic, general surgery, pediatric surgery, transplantation, trauma surgery, and vascular surgery). Participants will be assigned to a surgical team and mentor. This in-depth rotation is intended for students interested in pursuing a career in surgery and have completed their core clerkship in surgery.

    Massachusetts General Hospital’s Surgical Residency Program offers extensive clinical training and research opportunities.

  • Thoracic Surgery Residency Program

    Bulfinch building

    The Thoracic Surgery Residency Program at Massachusetts General Hospital aims to produce residents who are versed in all contemporary aspects of both cardiac and thoracic surgery.
