The Division of Thoracic Surgery offers a spectrum of surgical therapy options, including resections employing thoracotomy, transhiatal resection, and laparoscopic esophagectomy.

We tailor the operation to the patient and his or her disease. The division also extensive experience in using alternative replacement organs for the esophagus if the stomach is unavailable. We also perform minimally invasive procedures, including minimally invasive esophagectomy.
