The Injury Prevention and Outreach Program is an educational program that endeavors to reduce injuries by promoting public awareness of trauma and injury prevention.
"Natalie's Bill" is named in memory of Natalie DeLeon, who died at 21 in an unbelted crash.
We Support a Primary Enforcement Seat Belt Law
A primary enforcement seat belt law will increase seat belt use and therefore increase one's chances of survival in a crash.
If everyone in Massachusetts buckled up for every ride, we would:
- Save 18 lives/year and prevent more than 650 serious injuries/year
- Save over $170 million annually in medical, productivity and property costs
