If you are a smoker who is ready to quit, you don't have to do it on your own. A variety of materials and resources have been developed in order to help you succeed in quitting.

There are many other Internet resources that may be helpful to smokers who are trying to quit, to friends and family members of smokers, and to health care providers.
Other Local Services
Tobacco treatment, smoking cessation, and outreach programs are provided by Mass General Community Health Associates at other locations in Boston and surrounding areas. Learn more about these programs.
Residents of Massachusetts can receive free one-to-one counseling over the phone, print materials, and referrals to programs by calling the Massachusetts Smoker's Quitline. The Quitline hours are: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
