Learn About Testicular Cancer

Testicular Cancer
Cancer of the testis is a highly curable disease which usually occurs in young men between the age of 26 and 36 years. In order to cure testicular cancer, a multidisciplinary approach is mandatory. The coordinated treatment plan begins with an expert pathologist who defines the cell type, sometimes not an easy task. Following removal of the testicle, some patients require no further therapy while others require chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or surgery, or a combination of one or more of these treatments.

At the MGH we have had an extensive experience with these tumors.
