Partners HealthCare teams up with 7News and CW56 to host the 2009 Health and Fitness Expo June 27 and 28 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston.
Massachusetts General Hospital and MassGeneral for Children will be promoting healthy, active lifestyles and offering tips for disease prevention. Join Mass General medical staff in casual, face-to-face discussions on a variety of topics addressing health concerns for people of every age.
Mass General nutrition staff will be helping to answer the question, "Do you know how many calories you need each day?" Using height, weight and activity level, attendees can receive personalized "calorie prescriptions" to help achieve their weight goals. Nutrition staff will also be sharing information on portion control and balanced diets, as well as tips for eating out.
At the MGfC booth, a fitness professional will guide kids in fun, safe activities and exercises. Parents will also walk away with health and nutrition tips to keep their kids on the path to good health.
