The Office for Visitor Education Programs at Mass General manages requests for tours, observerships, specialized educational seminars and consulting activities.
Each year, Mass General is recognized for achieving the highest standards in patient care, education and research, ranking the hospital among the most prestigious medical institutions. Building on the hospital’s rich legacy and mission to educate future academic, clinical and research leaders in the health care professions, the Office for Visitor Education Programs (VEP) facilitates knowledge sharing and expertise in clinical care, as well as quality and innovation in health care, through its customized educational programs.
Visitors from all over the world, including leading academics, clinicians, researchers, government officials and hospital administrators, work with the VEP at Mass General to arrange tours, observerships and educational seminars related to:
- Innovations in patient care
- Cutting-edge research
- Hospital management and operations
Educational programs coordinated by the VEP can provide insights into the history of Mass General, its role in shaping health care practice and policy in the United States and its vision of the future of health care in the world. These programs are tailored to the interests of each group or individual.
All tours include an escort from the VEP office and, depending on the type of tour, a member from any department involved in the tour. Observerships and other educational opportunities require an application and/or registration.
