The Office for Visitor Education Programs at Massachusetts General Hospital arranges for clinically focused facility tours as well as a history tour of Mass General.
Tours of Mass General buildings and facilities can be tailored to the needs and interests of any group and range from historical societies interested in the Ether Dome to hospital administrators from developing countries looking for innovative ideas in cancer treatments.
All tours include an escort from the Office for Visitor Education Programs (VEP) and, depending on the type of tour, a member from any departments related to the tour.
Please note: Although we make every attempt to accommodate tour requests, not every department can be available for a tour during the times you request.
The popular Mass General History and Ether Dome tour lasts approximately 1 hour. More complex, clinically detailed tours of the most innovative and cutting-edge departments can fill an agenda for a full day or more.
