Tara K. Stadelman-Cohen, B.M.Ed, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a vocal pathologist/singing voice specialist at the Center for Laryngeal Surgery and Voice Rehabilitation at the Massachusetts General Hospital, an instructor at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, and a clinical supervisor of graduate students in speech-language pathology. Ms. Stadelman-Cohen performs acoustic and aerodynamic analysis of voice production, in addition to both transoral and transnasal laryngeal endoscopy for vocal tract visualization. She provides voice therapy treatment for a wide array of adult voice disorders, including those of organic, functional, and neurogenic etiology, in addition to transgendered voice, with a clinical specialization in rehabilitation of the injured professional voice.

Ms. Stadelman-Cohen received her Bachelor’s degree in music education (1992) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a classical voice and piano emphasis. She was a high school vocal music educator until the year 2000 and directed women’s, men’s, and mixed choral ensembles, musical theatre, show choir, and vocal jazz groups. Additionally, she was an adjudicator for the Wisconsin State Music Association (WSMA) at local and state level music festivals. In the year 2002, Ms. Stadelman-Cohen received an Outstanding Young Music Educator Award from the Wisconsin Music Educators Association. She completed her Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders (2003) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received clinical certification in speech-language pathology the following year. She is currently a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
