Overview

Allergy diseases often affect both parents and their children. Our practice treats both adults and pediatric patients, offering the full continuum of care for the entire family.

At Mass General Waltham, we diagnose and treat conditions such as:

  • Allergic rhinitis (hay fever and other allergies)
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Asthma and related disorders
  • Chronic urticaria (hives) and angioedema (swelling beneath the skin)
  • Drug allergies (adverse reactions to medication)
  • Eczema, or atopic dermatitis
  • Food allergies
  • Sinusitis
  • Stinging insect allergies

Allergy Testing

We can perform diagnostic testing onsite for most allergies, including food and seasonal allergies. Medication allergy testing is available at our main location in Boston, although patients can visit our Waltham office for any pre-testing and follow-up care.

Allergy Injections

We also offer allergy injections, including early-morning appointments for patients who prefer to stop in Waltham on their way to work.

What to Expect

At your initial visit, one of our allergists typically conducts a full exam. We can perform diagnostic testing onsite for most allergies, including food and seasonal allergies. We will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan based on your condition and lifestyle.
