Intellectual Property

Since its inception, the Wellman Center has emphasized translational research. With this longstanding focus, the Wellman Center has become one of the MGH's most prolific generators of commercialized intellectual property. Wellman scientific discoveries of diagnostic and treatment applications in such diverse fields as dermatology, ophthalmology, cardiology, and nephrology have already been brought to clinical use in partnership with private companies.

The Center currently maintains a large and constantly expanding patent portfolio, many of which are still available for license. We welcome inquiries from interested parties.
