Transdermal drug delivery; Identify spectroscopic markers that correlate with physiological conditions.
In collaboration with Dr. Edward Maytin’s group at the Lerner Research Institute in Cleveland, our team is investigating ways to enhance the treatment efficacy of PDT using cell differentiating agents. Greater treatment depths will enable the use of PDT for the treatment of a wider range of diseases. Working with Dr. Brian Pogue at Dartmouth College, we have made significant advances in the development of online photosensitizer dosimetry, and in collaboration with PSI, Inc., with singlet oxygen measurements. This allows accurate treatment dosing and monitoring and could lead to the development of individualized PDT regimens for patients.
