About Erica Camargo Faye, MD, PhD, MSC

Dr. Erica Camargo Faye is a Stroke Neurologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Camargo Faye received her M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. After her initial Neurology training at the Hospital das Clinicas in Sao Paulo, Brazil, she pursued a clinical research career at the Massachusetts General Hospital Stroke Center, and received a Masters of Medical Science at Harvard Medical School. She subsequently completed her Neurology Residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, and her Vascular Neurology Fellowship at Boston Medical Center/ Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Camargo Faye is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with board certifications in Neurology and Vascular Neurology. She has a strong interest in medical teaching, patient quality and safety, and clinical research. Her clinical and research interests include stroke in women, stroke in the young, cardio-neurology, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis and stroke recovery.
