The Massachusetts General Hospital Division of Gastroenterology is a collaborative practice of gastroenterologists and endoscopists dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of digestive diseases.
The Massachusetts General Hospital Division of Gastroenterology offers comprehensive, cutting-edge, and coordinated care for patients with all forms of digestive disorders. Our gastroenterologists, hepatologists, endoscopists and advanced practice providers are dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of digestive diseases and gastrointestinal malignancies. The Division of Gastroenterology offers a full range of medical treatments for digestive disorders, including conditions of the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, liver, gallbladder, pancreas and colon. We have among the highest volumes in the region in most procedures related to digestive health care and achieve excellent outcomes. We have a strong, internationally renowned basic science research program with significant support through federal and foundation grants. Each of our disease centers is actively conducting cutting-edge research, including clinical trials, with emphasis on integrating laboratory-based findings with patient care
Our Crohn's and Colitis Center is a designated National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease (NIDDK) Digestive Disease Research Center. We maintain highly sought-after advanced fellowships in inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology, obesity medicine and GI motility.
