About Suzanne Algeri, DNP, MS, RN, NE-BC

Suzanne Algeri, DNP, MS, RN, NE-BC, serves as the Associate Chief Nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, overseeing and collaborating with nursing directors, clinical nurse specialists, and nurse practice specialists across more than 15 clinical areas, including four ICUs, with responsibility for over 1,300 nurses and clinical staff.

With over 30 years of progressive leadership experience, Suzanne has held various clinical and administrative roles at Mass General. Prior to her current position, she was the Nurse Director of a 32-bed Neurosciences Unit specializing in the care of neurology and neurosurgery patients. Throughout her career, Suzanne has been honored with numerous Mass General Brigham Excellence Awards, and most recently was appointed as the Mass General Endowed Scholar in Nursing Practice.

Suzanne's professional focus encompasses patient- and family-centered care, clinical operations, interdisciplinary planning and coordination, process design and continuous improvement, leadership development, and the enhancement of the professional practice environment.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in Management from Emmanuel College, where she was recognized with the Excellence in Academics award for graduating at the top of her class. Suzanne recently completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Northeastern University.

Suzanne is an active member of the Organization of Nurse Leaders and the Boston Chapter of Neuroscience Nurses. Additionally, she is committed to philanthropy, contributing to local fundraising efforts for breast cancer and Alzheimer’s Disease research.
