The Massachusetts General Hospital Disability Program is part of the Office of Equity and Community Health, providing support and services to patients and visitors with disabilities. The program actively partners with clinicians and other departments, ensuring the highest level of care for patients.
Services include:
- Meet with patients and families to assist in planning visits to Mass General
- Determine appropriate accommodations for patients, families, and visitors
- Provide training and education to Mass General staff on topics related to disabilities
- Coordinate Patient Care Services
- Recommend, coordinate, and help implement changes to our physical space to make Mass General more accessible to individuals with disabilities
- Act as liaison for community services
- Respond to any complaints or concerns related to access
