The Massachusetts General Hospital LGBT Employee Resource Group was formed in 2008, in support of the new Mass General mission and focus on the health and well-being of the diverse communities we serve.  All Mass General employees (friends and allies, as well as those in the LGBT community) are welcome to join us and participate in our activities and events.


The Massachusetts General Hospital Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Employee Resource Group serves to educate the Mass General community about LGBT health issues and to create an environment that is supportive of LGBT employees, patients, families, friends and allies.

Goals & Objectives

  • Provide a forum for Mass General employees who are LGBT, relatives of LGBT individuals or interested in LGBT issues for discussion, mentoring, and networking
  • Educate both healthcare providers and staff across the Mass General community about the unique health care issues facing LGBT patients
  • Ensure that the Mass General climate is safe and welcoming of LGBT employees and patients, families and friends
  • Ensure that all Mass General internal policies are inclusive of LGBT issues.

ERG Leadership

Josue D. EspinozaAdministrative Chair: Josue D. Espinoza, MHA

Josue (he/him) is an Administrative Manager in the Endocrine Division of the Department of Medicine at the MGH. He earned a Master’s of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. There, he studied in the Gillings School of Global Public Health, understanding the connection between public health and administration. Prior to his graduate studies, Josue earned his undergraduate degree at Boise State University in Boise, ID. Josue is a native of Southern California. In addition to his responsibilities in the DOM, Josue directs the MGH Graduate Administrative Internship, manages the Transgender Health Program, and is a subject matter expert and leader in the MGH Office of Equity & Inclusion, as well as the Center for Diversity and Inclusion. His professional interests include supporting clinicians, public health initiatives, mentorship and education development, advancement of science, and excellence in every day work.

Jevon OliverClinical Chair: Jevon Oliver, Pharm.D., MS

Jevon (he/him) is currently Pharmacy Manager of Perioperative Pharmacy Services at the MGH Main Campus. He completed his formal PGY1/PGY2/MS Health System Pharmacy Administration residency at University of Wisconsin (UW) Health in Madison, WI in 2018. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Oklahoma City University in 2012 and Doctor of Pharmacy from The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2016. His professional interests include leadership development, inpatient operations, pharmacy automation, and advancement of pharmacy practice.
