Anna F. Farago, MD, PhD, is a medical oncologist in the Center for Thoracic Cancers at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Farago cares for patients with lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies, and performs clinical and translational research.

Dr. Farago's major research interests include small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and other neuroendocrine malignancies; oncogene-driven non-small cell lung cancers; and thymic malignancies. She runs clinical trials to develop new therapies for SCLC and leads a research group at MGH to study SCLC biology. She has also participated in the clinical development of TRK-targeted therapies and studies NTRK fusion positive cancers.

Dr. Farago has been awarded multiple research grants, including grants from Uniting Against Lung Cancer, the Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO/AACR, the Harvard Catalyst CMeRIT program, the Harvard Medical School Drs. Eleanor and Miles Shore Fellowship, the American Cancer Society, the V Foundation for Cancer Research, and the National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute.
