Nishan Goudsouzian, MD, anesthetist in the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine, has received two prestigious national awards. In February, he was honored with the Robert M. Smith award of the American Academy of Pediatrics as the foremost expert on muscle relaxants in children and for his outstanding contributions to the field of pediatric anesthesia. In May, Goudsouzian received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, sponsored by the National Ethnic Coalition Organization, honoring his contributions to the community, the nation and the world. He has worked at the MGH for 46 years.
