Misra Elected to Board of Directors of Pediatric Endocrine Society

Madhusmita Misra, MD, MPH, chief of Pediatric Endocrinology at MGHfC, was elected to the Board of Directors of the Pediatric Endocrine Society (PES) for 2016-2019. Misra has been involved with the PES for over 10 years serving in various leadership roles, such as Chair of the Research Affairs Council, Co-Chair of the Steering Committee of the PES Spring Fellow Retreat and Chair of the Drugs and Therapeutics Committee.

In her new role as a director of the PES, Misra hopes to address current challenges faced by physician scientists, practicing clinicians and academic professionals within endocrinology.

"My work within the PES thus far and my vision for and dedication to our society should be critical to addressing membership issues as a PES director. My efforts will focus on harnessing our strengths to address many emerging and ongoing needs," said Misra. "I am also delighted to represent pediatric endocrinology from MassGeneral Hospital for Children at a national level."
