Our Mission

The mission of the CTS at Massachusetts General Hospital is to understand the basic immunologic mechanisms through which specific tolerance can be induced for organ and bone marrow transplant recipients, and to find creative new means of dealing with the shortage of available organs. Learn more

Dr. Jane O, receiving the Philip K. Caves Award at the 2018 Annual Scientific Meeting of the International Heart and Lung Transplantation Society (ISHLT) in Nice France or her work on heart en bloc thymus transplantation in the Madsen/Allan Laboratory.

The Caves Award is bestowed annually on the trainee/resident/fellow/student whose oral presentation is judged to be the best at a special session of the 6 highest scoring abstracts at the annual meeting. It is this society’s highest honor for a young investigator.
