About Agnes Lau, DMD

Dr. Agnes Lau has been the director of the Mass General Dental Group since its inception in 1990.  Since 2008 she has served as Chief of the Division of Dentistry.

Dr. Lau attended Harvard College and received her dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.  She completed a residency in general dentistry at Brigham and Women's Hospital.  In addition to her appointment on the Mass General staff, she is director of the Brigham and Women's Hospital/Mass General/Harvard Residency in General Practice Dentistry.  She is assistant professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Harvard School of Dental Medicine.  Dr. Lau was awarded the Partners Award in Excellence in 1997.

Dr. Lau's clinical interests include general dentistry, oral medicine, dental care for medically compromised patients, and hospital-based dentistry.  She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry, and she is a Fellow of the American Association of Hospital Dentistry.
