About Steven Kahan, MD
Steven E. Kahan, MD, is a board-certified urologist specializing in general urology, minimally invasive surgery, and bladder, prostate and kidney cancer.
Dr. Kahan is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. He received his BA degree with honors from Miami University in Political Science. He attended law school at Case Western Reserve University and practiced law for eight years before completing medical school and residency at Case Western. Dr. Kahan practiced general urology in Portsmouth and Exeter, New Hampshire, for 17 years, where he managed patients with a broad range of urologic disease, such as benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH), kidney stones, kidney, prostate and bladder cancer. He enjoys building relationships with patients and performing minimally invasive surgeries. Dr. Kahan also served as Chief of Surgery at Portsmouth Hospital and as Board Manager at Core Physicians, a multi-specialty group practice affiliated with Exeter Hospital. Dr. Kahan is a former long-time board member of the International Volunteers of Urology (IVU). He has a passion for international medicine mission work and previously operated in India and Vietnam.
