Dr. Bassett's research is focused on identifying, implementing, and disseminating effective substance use and behavioral interventions, particularly as they relate to low-income, underserved, and legally-involved populations.  Additionally, she is interested in how systemic factors, policy issues and community conditions impact individuals, influence treatment outcomes, and affect health disparities.  Dr. Bassett has served as the clinical supervisor for NIH-funded randomized controlled treatment studies and works closely with a variety of interdisciplinary professionals to facilitate the implementation and dissemination of evidence-based practices for addressing substance use and co-occurring disorders.
