About Sara Jane Cromer, MD

Dr. Sara Cromer is an Assistant in Medicine in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Massachusetts General Hospital. She received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, completed internship and residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University Medical Center, and completed fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Cromer’s research focuses on understanding and addressing racial/ethnic and socioeconomic disparities in the care of patients with type 2 diabetes. To this end, she serves on the MGH Department of Medicine Community Council and as the Early Career Representative on the American Diabetes Association Public Health and Epidemiology Interest Group. Meanwhile, she maintains an active clinical presence, seeing patients in both the MGH Diabetes Center and Endocrine Associates clinic.

Aside from her clinical and research roles, she seeks to build expertise as a clinical educator, working with both medical students, residents, and fellows to expand her ability to teach, mentor, and lead.
