About Kevin Hwang, MD
Dr. Kevin Hwang is a board-eligible orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in spine surgery. He specializes in the management of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spinal disorders in adults. Dr. Hwang believes in a personalized and evidence-based approach to each patient. He works with a multi-specialty team to treat problems conservatively prior to considering an operation. When surgery is necessary, he aims to use the safest, most effective, and least invasive techniques to alleviate pain and improve symptoms.
Dr. Hwang received his undergraduate degree from Duke University, where he was a Robertson Scholar, and earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. He completed residency training in orthopaedic surgery at the University of California San Francisco and sub-specialty training in spine surgery at the Harvard University Orthopaedic Spine Surgery Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
