  • Down to the bones: How to spot and confront a silent ailment

“Most people will reach their peak bone mass between the ages of 20 and 30,” says Joy Tsai, MD, of MGH Endocrinology. “While some amount of bone loss is expected with aging, it is important to identify if you have very low bone density so your doctor can make recommendations to help prevent broken bones.”

  • Building Better Bones

Tsai, MD, associate director of the Bone Density Center at Mass General, discusses the importance of bone health for women as they age and reviews treatment options for women who need to build back bone density.
