About Emily Sterling-Graves, LICSW

Emily received her Master of Social Work from Simmons College in 1996 and has dedicated the last decade to helping older adults, and adults with serious illness, working in hospital case-management and palliative care and as a hospice social worker. Emily’s past employers are Care Dimensions, VNA Care Network and Hallmark Health Visiting Nurse Association. She is a member of the Social Work Hospice and Palliative Care Network.

During the COVID pandemic Emily committed herself to addressing the psychosocial needs of older adults affected by the restrictions. This includes speaking to a Senior Health Town Hall about anxiety and grief and about practical resources. She developed and co-leads an online support group to address social isolation.

Emily is a faculty member within the Geriatrics Fellowship program, as well as supervising social work interns interested in geriatrics and end-of-life care.
