History of telehealth at MGH

Our History

Massachusetts General Hospital has a legacy of developing and implementing telehealth solutions dating back to 1967.

This past year, I cared for a woman who arrived at SNHMC unconscious with a subarachnoid hemorrhage from a ruptured aneurysm. Quick help from the MGH TeleStroke team meant we were able to fly her to MGH within an hour for definitive treatment.
