Nurse-midwives at Mass General provide prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum care for patients who are not considered to have a "high-risk" pregnancy. To make an appointment with the Midwifery Service, contact the Obstetrics Program and request an appointment with a midwife.

About Katherine Rushfirth, CNM, MSN
Katherine Rushfirth, CNM, MSN, is associate chief nurse-midwife of the Midwifery Divison in the Department of OB/GYN at Mass General and a teaching associate at Harvard Medical School. Her clinical interests are in contraceptive and family planning especially in underserved communities. She has a special interest in eliminating racial and ethnic health disparities and advocating for equitable health care access. She sees patients at Chelsea Health Center and speaks Spanish. Katherine completed her midwifery education at Yale University and also holds a BA from Barnard College.
