Nurse-midwives at Mass General provide prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum care for patients who are not considered to have a "high-risk" pregnancy. To make an appointment with the Midwifery Service, contact the Obstetrics Program and request an appointment with a midwife.

Marie Henderson, CNM, MSN, is a staff nurse-midwife in the Midwifery Division in the Department of OB/GYN at Mass General and is a teaching associate at Harvard Medical School. She has a clinical interest in managing obesity with nutrition and wellness. She has also has an interest in caring for women with substance use disorder and is committed to community health. She sees patients are our main hospital site and on our inpatient units. Marie completed her midwifery education at Rhode Island University and holds a BA from University of Mary, Bismarck, ND.
