Susan J. Hernandez, CNM, MSN, is the chief nurse-midwife of the Midwifery Division in the Department of OB/GYN at Mass General and a teaching associate at Harvard Medical School. Her clinical interests are in supporting women with substance use disorder and caring for underserved communities. She has a special interest in LGBTQ health and advocating for health equity. She sees patients in the Mass General HOPE Clinic. She is fluent in Spanish. Susan completed her midwifery education at the University of Pennsylvania and also has BS in sociology from Mary Washington College.
