About Angela Stearns, PTA

Angela, a native of Hanover, Massachusetts, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine, cum laude, from Westfield State University in 2010. After working for two years as a rehabilitation aid at fast paced sports medicine clinic in the South Shore, she decided to return to school to pursue a degree as a PTA. She graduated from Bay State College in 2014 with her Associates Degree, magna cum laude, in Physical Therapy Assistance. There she received Bay State’s Academic Integrity Award for her mentorship to fellow classmates. Angela completed her clinical rotations at Boston Sports Medicine, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Spaulding Rehabilitation in Boston.

As a collegiate level softball and field hockey athlete, Angela’s passion for sports related injuries grew. She has played softball at the regional and national level over her 15+ year’s experience and was ranked in the top 30 best field hockey players in Massachusetts in 2006. Her clinical interests include pre and post-op rehabilitation, ACL injuries, rotator cuff rehabilitation and management of labral tears in the shoulder.
