Dr. Dana Hindman, a native of Old Greenwich, CT, received her doctoral degree from Boston University’s Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences in May 2015. She received her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences from Boston University in 2012 and transitioned into the physical therapy program that same summer. During her final graduate year at BU, she created an evidence-based comprehensive post-operative ACL protocol for the competitive skier and has since lectured on this in the Boston area.
Dr. Hindman has always been interested in the sports medicine field, especially after seeing the results of physical therapy following dance injuries during her childhood and high school years. She has been a certified Zumba instructor since 2009 and believes in the power of dance and fitness in improving an individual’s well-being. She has also been an avid skier since she was very young. Dr. Hindman is passionate about all facets of physical therapy; she is especially interested in evaluating and treating lower extremity injuries and spinal pathologies. Her focus for all of her patients is to supplement her orthopedic manual skills with a patient-specific exercise program that assists a patient back to their prior level of function.
