About Emily Roy, PT, DPT

Dr. Emily Roy received her bachelors in Neuroscience from St. Lawrence University in 2012, and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in 2015. Dr. Roy’s passion for treating sports medicine injuries came from recovering from her own injuries in high school and collegiate athletics. She grew up in Lake Placid, NY as an avid skier and water skier, and continues to enjoying being active outside the clinic now.

Dr. Roy is a board certified Sports Clinical Specialist specializes in lower extremity injuries, particularly ACL pre-op and post-op rehabilitation, lumbopelvic dysfunction in the female athlete, and sports related concussion. She works with the MGH sports concussion clinic, treating patients with a multidisciplinary team approach to concussions, and with the Home Base program treating veterans suffering from the lasting effect of mTBI. Additionally, she serves as a concussion consultant for several of Boston’s professional and collegiate teams.
