About Mark Eisenberg, MD

Dr. Eisenberg is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and Harvard Medical School. He performed his clinical training in internal medicine at the University of Rochester and in infectious diseases at Stanford University Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine, infectious diseases and addiction medicine. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. His clinical work focuses on HIV primary care and the respectful care of people who use drugs. From an international health perspective, he has participated in HIV teaching and training in Vietnam, Tanzania, South Africa and Uganda. Locally, he has been actively working on the opening of Overdose Prevention Centers for people who use drugs as well as with the Medical Justice Alliance to get people out of prison. He is married and the father of two adult children.
